COURSE OVERVIEW

DIPLOMA

The Diploma in Business is an introductory programme to prepare students for entry into Advanced Diplomas in business specialisations.

The overall aims of the programme are to develop:
• Knowledge and skills in marketing research and planning;
• Knowledge and skills in analysing and interpreting financial statements;
• Knowledge and skills in managing human resource;
• The ability to perform statistical analysis and interpretation for business situations;
• The ability to apply marketing and operation management techniques and best practices;
• The ability to communicate professionally and to work independently or in a group.

Minimum Entry Requirements:
  • IGCSE / GCE ‘O’; or
  • Equivalent

  1. 5 credits including English.
  2. Applicants who do not have a pass in English or IELTS 5.5 must take the Raffles English Placement Test.
  3. The minimum age requirement is 16-years of age.

ADVANCED DIPLOMA

The aim of the Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Operations is to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills in logistics operations and supply chain management.

The overall aims of the programme are to develop:
• A working understanding of supply chain and logistics principles, and current challenges;
• Knowledge and skills in warehouse and materials management;
• Knowledge and skills in global logistics, shipping and terminal operations;
• Knowledge and skills in customs and regulations for international operations;
• The ability to apply management techniques and best practices;
• The ability to communicate professionally and to work independently or in a group.

With the increasing globalization and the importance of highly-performing value chains, logistics management becomes of utmost importance in modern business. This course provides a wide variety of job opportunities to students interested in working in the manufacturing, retailing, or logistics services industries.

  • Completion of Raffles Singapore Diploma; or
  • Equivalent

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Students whose native language is not English must submit evidence of proficiency in the language. Students must meet the minimum English Standard as stipulated below to commence their registered Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/Master courses with Raffles College of Higher Education.

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 5.5, taken during the last two years
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 525 (Paper-based) or 70 (Internet-based), taken during the last two years
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 620
  • GCE 'O' Level English Language Examination of C6
  • Completion of Advanced English with Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.0, taken during the last two years
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 550 (Paper-based) or 79 (Internet-based), taken during the last two years
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 650
  • GCE 'O' Level English Language Examination of C6
  • Completion of Advanced English with Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.5, taken during the last two years
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 575 (Paper-based) or 90 - 91 (Internet-based), taken during the last two years
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 700
English Speaking Countries Non-English Speaking Countries
Course is undertaken solely in the English Language The study was completed in an institution which is listed in the International Handbook of Universities, World Higher Education Database, UK Naric Database or AEI NOOSR guides and is conducted and examined solely in the English Language

The College reserves the right to verify applicant's standard of English through English Placement test for applicants applying through Part B. (*Only applicable to RCDC Programmes)
Students who do not meet the minimum requirement as stipulated above will need to take the Raffles College of Higher Education's English Placement Test

AGE REQUIREMENTS

For All Advanced Diploma Programmes
The minimum age requirement is 16-years of age.

For All Top up Bachelor Programmes
The minimum age requirement is 18-years of age.
