RAFFLES FASHION DESIGNERS BAGGED THE TOP 3 AWARDS AT THE SOCIETY OF DYERS AND COLOURISTS (SDC) INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION – REGIONAL HEATS SINGAPORE 2021 

Raffles College of Higher Education is proud to announce that Raffles Fashion Designers have bagged the top 3 awards of the SDC International Design Competition in Singapore. 

The International Design Competition is SDC’s annual flagship competition, engaging with hundreds of students, universities, and designers globally. 

Congratulations to Raffles Fashion Designers:  

Winner – CHOI Nakyeong 

Article Theme: Mercury 

1st Runner Up – WONG Tsz Yung 

Article Theme: Universe & Wormhole 

2nd Runner Up – Angeline HOSHI 

Article Theme: The Borelis 

Raffles Fashion Designer CHOI Nakyeong, Winner of the Singapore heat, represented Singapore for the Online Grand Final on the 30th November 2021. 

Given the theme of ‘Colour and the Universe’, Choi was inspired by the planet Mercury’s artistic colours. She draped the outfit using zero waste technique and the dress glowed under the UV light to create a galaxy effect. 

We would also like to thank Mr Jeff CHEN, Business Development Manager of Matex International Limited Singapore, for presenting the awards to our Raffles Fashion Designers.
