Master of Arts in Design Management

I am glad I chose Raffles Singapore as the school where I pursue my Master of Arts in Design Management. I am an architect, and this programme has broadened my knowledge in the field of design and helped me grow professionally. I would like to thank my lecturer Mr. Jack Liew for being extremely supportive and challenging me to do my best. I would also like to thank everyone at Raffles for being warm and caring during my study here.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

Zahara is a five-star luxury eco-resort that values pristine environments and the need to maintain it in its most natural state. This is done by adopting the biophilic approach in design and architecture. Zahara’s goal is to provide an exquisite, elegant, and luxurious travel experience for guests who are looking for an exotic getaway while causing little or no impact to the environment. Zahara believes in adopting sustainable methods right from construction, furnishing, to the choice of vehicle and energy sources at the eco-resort. The expansion proposal at Havelock Island will have organic farming and tree/sapling plantation activity, and workshops to create awareness about composting waste to produce manure, as well as Culinary Workshops to promote healthy eating and knowledge sharing workshops about various medicinal herbs through gardening activities. The eco-resort will also house an Ayurveda healing wing. Other special activities include a fully–furnished boat house trip, experiencing bioluminescence, coral viewing, and other sea sports.
