Summary
This project is focused on a socially responsible issue: In the future development, how can we help physical bookstores restore prosperity in the face of the impact brought by technology? With the rapid growth of digital publishing and Internet e-commerce, a significant era of information sharing has arrived.
Online bookstores, e-readers, and online reading software are increasingly impacting physical bookstores, which have unique advantages: low operating costs, a wide range of books, easy access, convenient book selection, and lower discounts ...... Facing the impact brought by technology
The effect brought about by the Internet has seen a wave of closures of physical bookstores since 2009. How to cope with the impact of the Internet and revive the once glorious scene of physical bookstores has become a direction that physical bookstores are constantly thinking about and exploring.
The second objective of this project is to focus on how technology and sustainability can help transform brick-and-mortar bookstores. Hence, in this design project, we are an attempt to implement more sustainable technologies such as 3D printing to reduce resource waste and the pollution of the environment.
