Project: Clessidra

An electric Moka pot that makes good quality coffee accessible to everyone at home in a comfortable and swift way that fits the contemporary lifestyle.

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day, yet preparing it is a time-consuming task. Thus, many active people skip it, or they need to have it at a café on their way to the start of their day.

The goal is to create a solution that simplifies and speeds up the preparation. This project delivers a complete Moka machine with an LCD screen which allows the user to monitor the time and size of the coffee preparation. It is Bluetooth-connected to an app which helps set it on from a distance. Users can turn it on through the app when they wake up, and by the time they get dressed, their warm and freshly made coffee is ready.

Testimonial

I chose to go back to studying to change my career path to product design. Raffles Design Institute was a good option to get a design-oriented living experience in Asia, specifically Singapore.

Through my product design diploma and advanced diploma, I had the opportunity to engage in a few interesting projects as part of Studio Practice modules and in a couple of notable competitions. Both have allowed me to tackle different design fields and get a sense of my design style.
